    The 5th East Stroudsburg, PA Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in celebration of Ostomy Awareness Day. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)

     
    RACE DAY SCHEDULE 

    Registration & Packet Pick-up: 8:30 AM 
    Run/Walk Start: 9:00 AM 
    Basket Raffle Start: 10:30 AM
    Awards Ceremony & Closing Remarks: 11:30 AM till 12:00 PM

    The Registration Fee of $39.00 includes a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt and Bib. Please note there are a limited number of T-Shirt sizes now available. So don't delay, register today to order the T-Shirt size you'd like to wear at the event. 

     
    RACE COURSE

    This Timed Run will be held at the Levee Loop Trail in Dansbury Park located at 15 Day Street in East Stroudsburg. The Levee Loop Trail is a 4.5-mile trail that connects East Stroudsburg and Stroudsburg and follows the flood levee along scenic Brodhead Creek. All finishers will receive a certificate of completion with their name and official race time to celebrate their success!

     

    The exact route map will be included in your registration packets.

     
    PARKING

    There is ample free parking at Dansbury Park.

     
    PACKET PICKUP

    Pre-race Packet Pick-up location to be determined.

     

    Same day registration will be available onsite.

     
    PRIZES

    Prizes will be awarded to the top Male and top Female Overall Finishers, top M/F in each age group, as well as to the top Male and Female Ostomates. - This could change for each event as well.

     
    OPTIONAL OSTOMY POUCH

    Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch provided by one or more of our sponsors. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on a pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.

     
    CREATE OR JOIN A RACE GROUP/TEAM!

    Once you’ve registered you have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, pick to be on your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you! (Please note this is NOT a Team Fundraiser. To set up a Personal or Team Fundraiser, please go to the DONATE button.)

     
    FUNDRAISING 
    Raise $125 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded!

    Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

    We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATE button at the top of this page. You can create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL address, personalize your fundraising message, and direct your friends and family to your page to join your team or sponsor you in your fundraising goal.

    RUN REFERRAL PROGRAM

    Invite 5 other people to register and participate in the Run with you and you will be refunded $20 on YOUR registration! Simply share your unique referral link found on your registration confirmation page (email) "Remember to invite your friends with your special URL https:// ..." The referral program is valid for all in-person run locations and the virtual event so even if they cannot join you where you are, they can still celebrate from afar!
