    Join us to run, or walk, our beautiful 5k race route in Westbrook.

    Westbrook Public Schools PTO is proud to present this community wide event to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle in our town while raising money for our young students at Daisy Ingraham Elementary School! The race will feature family friendly activities, food and awards for each division. Thank you in advance for joining our community event and supporting the youth of Westbrook!

    Course Description: USATF certified course (License#149019) begins at Daisy Ingraham elementary school and proceeds down a hill to Boston Post Road. Runners take a right onto Boston Post Rd. and proceed onto Seaside Avenue by taking a left. Picturesque views of Long Island Sound as the race continues on Seaside Avenue to the turnaround point. Race reverses and finishes back at Daisy.

    The Kids Fun Run kicks off behind the school at 9:30am. Thank you to our good friends at the Valley Shore YMCA for organizing and running this fun event! It's a great way to get the whole family involved!

    Entry

    • Online entry - $25 (before 3/17/2024), thereafter $30. Registration is via online entry only. Registration closes at 9:30 am 3/23/2024
    • Kids Fun Run - $10 (Register online only. Registration closes at 9:00 am 3/23/2024)

    Race Shirts

    • Race shirts are available to all 5K and Kids Fun Run participants for an additional fee of $5
    • Shirts must be ordered by 3/4/2024
    • A limited number of race shirts will be available for purchase on race day

    Parking

    We encourage all participants to carpool, as parking onsite fills up quickly. Volunteers will be onsite to help direct parking in the following locations:

    • Daisy Ingraham School front parking lot.
    • Westbrook Public Library UPPER parking lot ONLY - the bottom lot is reserved for library patrons.
    • Along the side of the road leading into Daniel Wren Park.
    • Oxford Academy parking lot on Route 1.

    Race Schedule

    • Registration opens - 8:00 am
    • Kids Fun Run start - 9:30 am
    • 5K Run / Walk start - 10:00 am
    • Post race activities:
      • We will have kids activities, including kindness rocks, pretzel necklaces, sidewalk chalk, and more setup in front of the school to keep the kids (and young at heart) entertained throughout the morning.
      • Bring a little extra cash to grab a quick burst of energy from our bake sale or enter our raffle for a chance to win some great prizes donated by our sponsors!
      • Our awards ceremony will take place near the school entrance shortly following the 5K. Please stick around to cheer on our star runners! We will be drawing our raffle winners at this time, as well.
