A truly fantastic sprint triathlon located on and around Palmer Lake.  The Legion Full Battle Rattle is designed to bring out the best of each participant as our service members do every day - when going outside the wire - full battle rattle!    This sprint triathlon starts with a 1/2 mile swim followed by a 15.2 mile bike course and a 3.1 mile (5K) run.

As the saying goes:  "You don't expect to go out on a road march without going full battle rattle!!!  This is why the Legion Full Battle Rattle triathlon was established in honor of those who have served or serving in our military.   As a Sprint Triathlon in conjunction to USA Triathlon guidance - the course is designed to challenge the seasoned athlete and para triathlete while supporting the novice looking for a challenge in 2024.   To enhance the experience and capatalize on those friends with preferences - we are including a 3 person relay.  It is a requirement to be USAT registered which will be verified race day.  There is an annual membership to USAT or the option for a one day license to compete:   https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Triathlon/Membership-Overview/Membership-Types/One-Day-License
