Are you a triathlete looking for a way to stay dialed in this winter in a fun and casual way?

Have you always been wanting to "try a tri," but afraid of open water swimming?

    Well, now's your chance!

Team Next Level Tri is hosting the 1st annual Indoor Sprint Triathlon in partnership with the Morrisville Aquatic and Fitness Center!

Why you're going to wanna do this triathlon:

    • It's short and sweet.  Each leg of the race, swim, bike, and run is 10 minutes each.
    • In the middle of winter, every athlete needs a kick in the butt to stay motivated.
    • It's local. That's right- no flights or hotel bookings required!
    • Try something new! If you're new to triathlon, this is a great first step to test the waters (no pun intended!)
    • It's cheap. Yes, we're trying to keep the race costs at a minimum this year :)
    • AGES 12 AND UP (YOUR CHILD MUST BE TALL ENOUGH TO PEDAL A STATIONARY BIKE). You can race with your kids!

How does an Indoor Tri work?

    Here's the breakdown:

The race will be done in heats. You'll be assigned a heat by the week of the race.

Swim- 6 lanes available for 6 swimmers. You will swim as many laps as you can for 10 minutes (feel free to use your own Garmin, but we'll also have athletes in the heat after you count your laps as well). then exit the pool.  There will be no transition area, so you will need to have your own gear and tri bag with you.

You have 5 minutes to dry off and head over to the stationary bikes where you will be told when to start (Everyone starts at the same time).  You will bike as far as you can in 10 minutes. You will report your distance to the Bike station marshal.

Following the bike, you will 5 minutes to catch your breath and walk over to the treadmills where you will be told when to start (Everyone starts at the same time). You will run as far as you can in 10 minutes.  You will report your time to the Run station marshal.

And, that's it!  Enjoy some post-race goodies and community in the aerobics room upstairs. While you're welcome to "compete," we're just looking to have some fun with a like-minded active community, so there will be no official awards, but bragging rights are up for grabs.  So, come out to break up your winter training boredom!

For the love of all that is good and moisture wicking...

Though we try to be accurate and on top of things... Race details can change when we aren't lookin. And once in a while we simply make a mistake.

ALWAYS visit the race's website for the most complete and accurate race information.
