Details from event's RunSignUp.com listing:
Come out and join Michigan Trail Experience for the 2nd annual Full Moon 5. This race is a night race and will begin at 6:15PM. It will be dark at the start of the race, so a headlamp or flashlight is required. The course is a 5-mile loop around Sleepy Hollow State Park. The trail will be well marked with both reflective flags and regular flags. The park contains over 2,600 acres including a river winding its way through the woods. The course will take you through prairie grass fields, hardwood forest, and stands of pine trees. Which may or may not be covered with snow and ice. This event will be chip timed. A great race for first time night racers. The marked course is mostly flat with approximately 270 ft of total accent. Some areas may be muddy, wet and icy. Please note there will not be an aid station on the course, water will be provided at finish line. All entries will receive a finisher patch, neck gaiter and Michigan Trail Experience sticker. The race will start and finish on the south side of the main beach parking lot. Look forward to seeing you. This is a pet friendly event.
