This is a celebration of everything that makes Norwood a true gem! Join your neighbors and local community on November 4, 2023 to run or walk through some of our favorite streets in the beautiful presidential district of Norwood. NEW THIS YEAR: join us as we move the race and after-party to Norwood's newest gem, Factory 52! We cannot wait to welcome you to the Gem of the Highlands at Factory 52!

Since our inception five years ago, the Gem of the Highlands 5K has donated more than $47,000 in race proceeds. The new basketball courts at Waterworks Park and the dog park at Upper Millcrest Park have received the majority of our funding, but smaller donations have been made to cover mulch, grass seed and other general needs at five Norwood parks in beautification efforts.

As a completely volunteer-led organization, we will continue to focus our proceeds and donations on improving Norwood parks again this year. Just as important, we believe we created an event that residents and businesses can unite around with civic pride.
