Join the Faces of Courage Foundation for this year's Run for Luck 5K and 1 Mile Walk for Gold at The Concourse in Shady Hills, FL.

This 5k Adventure Run for Luck offers lots of shade as you start off on a paved path/packed asphalt milling then navigate 1.25 miles of Florida trails then pop back on pavement/packed asphalt milling  for the last 1.5 miles. Mostly flat pavement/packed asphalt milling with undulating rolling terrain on the trail portion (total elevation from start to finish is only 14' across the entire 5k). Runners and Walkers alike will enjoy this course. Big wheeled strollers and wheelchairs are welcome, but there are a few spots of sugar sand throughout the 1.25 miles of trails! (It's Florida!)

We will be having a Run for Luck costume contest, so come dressed to impress your peer runners! Votes will be tabulated by ballot throughout the event!

Please note that gates will open at 6:00am on race morning and will close promptly at 7:20am to ALL vehicle traffic. No vehicles will be allowed on the course during the race until the last participant is off the course. If you need to leave early, please make plans to park off site. Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive! There will be plenty of seating (picnic tables), shade and activities after the race while you wait but feel free to bring your own chair if you are uncomfortable in crowd settings. Thank you for your patience and understanding of the need to keep all participants safe.

For your knowledge, there may be a drone flying overhead capturing our event for future event/race advertising.

Faces of Courage Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit cancer patient support organization, dedicated to providing, free of charge, programs emphasizing practical education; life coping strategies; and improved self-esteem; through non-threatening, engaging, and recreational outings and overnight camps, including culturally relevant programs for minorities, which encourage a sense of “community” rather than isolation, with a primary goal of helping the cancer patient navigate their way through the treatment process and to thrive as a  survivor.

Our campers come to us from all over the United States. So even if you live outside the area, you can still support us by participating virtually.

For the love of all that is good and moisture wicking...

Though we try to be accurate and on top of things... Race details can change when we aren't lookin. And once in a while we simply make a mistake.
