Dave Jessup a fellow real estate agent was just diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma in August of 2021.
It has been an absolute whirlwind for him and his wife Misty as they are learning to navigate a new
world that is unknown. This cancer is rare and aggressive. Dave started chemo in September, along
with radiation and then oral chemo. He had surgery on March 8th at the Huntsman Center to remove
the cancer, but unfortunately they weren’t able to remove all of it. They did remove his entire right lobe
of his liver and his body is now trying to regenerate that portion of his liver. This process is slow,
painful and exerts as much energy per day as running a full marathon everyday. Since they were
unsuccessful in removing all of the cancer, more chemo and radiation treatments are in Dave’s future.
Dave started many local events in Utah and specifically at Powder Mountain, including the Spring
Session and Grom Fest. They do road cleanup yearly on Powder Mountain Road in Utah and along
the highway Hebgen. He has also volunteered to work for many ski races in Utah and Montana.
Misty Jessup is currently the Broker of RE/MAX Community-Valley. She has been licensed since
1994 but started as an Assistant to Marino Toulatos in 1991. She was still in high school when she
got licensed in Utah and more recently, she is now licensed in Montana and Idaho. Her husband,
Dave Jessup is also a licensed Realtor in Montana.
One of Dave’s favorite things in the world is surfing. He spent many years and summers in Fiji working
at a surf school. He is a beast on his board and we want to see him back on the board in the future!
In their free time they enjoy, fishing, mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding, boating and enjoying
all things outdoor. They have a 9 month old chocolate lab named Frankie that is a goof ball and keeps
them smiling.SPONSORS NEEDED!
Any amount of donation is accepted and truly appreciated. Sponsors of $150
or more will ensure that your logo is added to all print materials, T-shirts for the
5K and banners. Location of logo and size will be dependent on amount of
donation.
