CUMMING MARATHON UPDATE:  We are disappointed to report that as of August 2022, we will not be able to host a full marathon (26.2 miles) in 2022 as we had intended.  

We are proud to present our half marathon (13.1) on December 4, 2022!

The Cumming Fairgrounds Parking Lot (260 Castleberry Road, Cumming, GA 30040)

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

• Half Marathon 7:30 AM
• 5K 8:30 AM

Race Cut-Off Times: 3:30:00 for Half Marathon 1:30 for 5k

Included with your race registration:

- Chipped timing
- Race photos
- Finisher medal
- Super soft long sleeve shirt. Register early to guarantee availability of preferred size. 
- Hydration/Nutrition/Aid stations on the half marathon courses. 

Race registration:  

- Registration will be available online (if not sold out) through race morning on December 4th.

- On site race day registration (if not sold out) will be available starting at 6:45 AM until 15 minutes before race start time. Please be prepared to login to your RunSignUp account in order to register on-site on race day.

- Race day registration payments can be made in cash or with a credit card (no checks).

- Register early to take advantage of discounts and guarantee your shirt and finisher medal!

PACKET PICK-UP

• Saturday, December 3rd from 11 AM to 5 PM at Big Peach Running Co-Cumming (5485 Bethelview Road, Suite 430, Cumming, GA 30040)
• Race morning at race location starting at 6:45 AM
• Packets for virtual participants that are not picked up during packet pick-up will be mailed after December 5th
• Any items for in person participants not picked up during packet pick-up or on race day will be donated.

*All runners are guaranteed to receive a shirt if registered by 11/30/22 at 11:59 PM

PARKING

The Cumming Fairgrounds (235 Castleberry Road, Cumming, GA 30040). Park at the Fairgrounds and use the pedestrian bridge to cross Castleberry Road to get to the start/finish line. 

HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES

• Multiple packet pick-up options/locations.
• A virtual option is available. Registered runners can switch their registration to the virtual option prior to race day.
• PLEASE stay home from the event if you are not feeling well or have been directly exposed to someone with Covid-19. We will be happy to change your registration to the virtual event at any time prior to the race start. Please contact us via email at northgarunningco@gmail.com to change your registration to the virtual option. 

AWARDS

• Overall male/female for the half marathon and 5K
• Overall masters male/female for the half marathon and 5K
• 1st, 2nd, 3rd place age group awards in 10-year increments (award age group categories are:  10 & Under, 11 through 79 in 10 year increments and 80 & Up). 
• Virtual runners will not be eligible for overall or age group awards.
• We will not have a formal awards ceremony. Awards can be picked up near the finish line after the majority of runners for each event have finished. Awards not picked up on race day will be available for pickup at North GA Running Co. beginning Monday, December 5th. If you are from out of town, please let us know via email (northgarunningco@gmail.com) and we can mail your award.

***We will continue to monitor local and state COVID guidelines for events regularly and will update our procedures accordingly. Please check back for updates regarding this event as details are subject to change. This race is constrained by local and state guidelines and if this event can not be held in person per the direction of state and local officials, the race will convert to a virtual event. 

Any items not picked up during packet pick-up or on race day will be donated.
