    St. Patrick's  day celebrations are perfect opportunities to dress up like a crazy Leprechaun and hit the streets running. Come celebrate St. Patrick's Day  with the 5th annual Leprechaun Chase and Leprechaun Leap on Saturday, March 16, 2024. This event includes a 5 mile run and 1 mile run/walk. The 5 mile run will start at 10am with the 1 mile run/walk immediately following at 10:05am. Participants are encouraged to dress for the occasion in green or a favorite Irish costume.  The course is a flat, fast race through the beautiful parks and neighborhoods of Nappanee. 

    This event will be chip timed by Watt's My Time.

    You MUST be registered by Midnight on March 1, 2024 to be guaranteed a shirt! 

    This year's race is presented by Ruhe Road Runners.  Any proceeds or donations from this event will be used to support Ruhe Road Runners community events throughout the year! We hope to continue to provide great events for Nappanee and the surrounding communities with your support!

     AWARDS*

    • Top 3 male and female finishers of the 5 mile Leprechaun Chase 
    • Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group for the 1 mile Leprechaun Leap
      • 8 and under
      • 9-10
      • 11-12
      • 13-14

     

    PACKET PICK UP

     Packet pick up will be held  at the Nappanee Public Library on Thursday, March 14, from 5-7pm and also on race day starting at 9am.

    POST RACE PARTY

    Again this year,  Ruhe 152 will be closed to the public for this special celebration. ONLY ticketed guests will be allowed into Ruhe 152 from 11am-2pm.  Tickets include an Irish buffet. Drinks will be available for purchase. More information to come!
