Join us in Burnet, TX for a totally unique night-time race at the Spider Mountain Bike Park! This venue is home to Texas' first & only lift-served mountain bike park. Hone your climbing & descending trail running skills, experiment with long distance & mountain running equipment, dial in your night time running technique & nutrition, while wrapping your mind around running all night long! This race is a perfect way to get ready for Summer events like Capt’n Karl's Night Time Trail Series & other long distance mountain events. Everyone that runs gets to experience this extraordinary course & the super cool quad chair lift!

While every racer will get some cool swag, Tuesday,  April 16 is the deadline to get a shirt. If you register after April 16, you will get some cool Race Swag! This could be a variety of items like a trucker cap, neck gaiter, etc.

    Start Options

We will have a mass start per distance. Sometimes we start more than one distance together, so pay attention to the Schedule for this event. We also leave the start line open for a little while longer for those who want to avoid the mass start, enjoy a more casual entry onto the course, and don’t care about overall awards.

    Timing and  Scoring

The results page will show two times for each runner. “Gun Time” and “Chip Time”. Here’s what that means for you:

“Gun Time” is the time from the mass start (when the starter officially starts your distance) until when you cross the finish line.  This is everyone’s “official time”, no matter when you enter the race course; and is the time that is used for all rankings and awards.
“Chip Time” is the time from when you actually cross the start line until the time you cross the finish line. This is not used for official times or award rankings. But if you begin after the Mass Start you can see this time in the results to know the time you actually covered the course in.

    SATURDAY, EVENT DAY #1
    Packet Pickup: 4:00pm - 7:00pm
    Pre-Race Briefing: 6:00 pm
    Start:

This event is a gun timed mass start. The start line will be open for 15 minutes after the mass start time for each race. Please be aware that while we will include chip time in addition to gun time on the results site, all awards will be based on gun time only.

6hr, 9hr, 12hr, Relay Gun start at 7:00pm, can start anytime between 7:00 to 7:15pm.

    4mi, 4mi Ruck, 8mi, 12mi, 12mi Ruck Gun start at 7:00pm, can start anytime between 7:30 to 7:45pm.

Youth Mile: Great News! The Youth Mile will be starting at 6:30pm on the dot. We will ride the chairlift as a group at 6:15 up to the top of Spider Mt, and run the course downhill to the finish line. A parent is required to ride the chairlift with their child to the start of the mile, NO EXCEPTIONS. We want this event to be fun and safe for everyone, therefore we will have volunteers guide children along the course so that parents do not have to run the mile down and can catch them at the finish line.

For the love of all that is good and moisture wicking...

Though we try to be accurate and on top of things... Race details can change when we aren't lookin. And once in a while we simply make a mistake.
