Get together to with Fleet Feet Wilmington to celebrate Global Running Day with The Big Run!

We're excited to get together with our running and walking community at Long Leaf Park.
This year's event will include music, racing, prizes, raffles, post-run refreshments, and more!  Help us celebrate while we raise money to send kids to cross country camp where they can foster their love of running and make life-long friendships.

To Register at Packet Pickup or Race Day:  To register at packet pickup or race morning, we will provide a QR code for you to register on your phone.  You can also register online from your phone or device up until the race starts.

NATIONAL AWARDS
In addition to awards for the Wilmington event, local runners may compete against participants in other Big Run 5Ks across the country for a chance to win Fleet Feet National Prizes. 

National Leaderboard Prizes
See how you stack up against the competition from Big Run 5Ks across the country.

Categories and prizes from Fleet Feet national include:

Sub 15-minute finishers: Fleet Feet will randomly select 5 winners to receive a Fleet Feet gift certificate.
Between 15- and 20-minute finishers: Fleet Feet will randomly select 5 winners to receive a Fleet Feet gift certificate.
Completion Champions (anyone finishing over 20 minutes): Fleet Feet will randomly select 5 winners to receive a Fleet Feet gift certificate.
 

Social Engagement Prizes
In addition to prizes for race completion, Fleet Feet will also offer prizes for participants who know how to get social! 

Categories and prizes include:

Start Line Selfie: Celebrating the journey (and challenge) of making it to the start line, Fleet Feet award one winner with the best selfie and story.
First-Time Finisher: Based on the honor system, Fleet Feet will award the best finish line photo to a first-time 5K finisher.
Parent Power: One Thule stroller will be awarded to the best photo-displaying parent strength.
Support Squad: One Ragnar team entry will be awarded to the best group shot.

HOW YOUR REGISTRATION HELPS
The Big Run helps raise funds to send youth runners to Without Limits Youth Cross Country Camp.

The camp is designed to encourage athletes through positive reinforcement, in picturesque settings, with a goal to make running fun while preparing for the upcoming season.

Each year, athletes leave camp with greater confidence, a new love of running, and lots of new friends from all over the country.  Cross country teams that attend leave with stronger team camaraderie heading into the official start of the cross country season.
