Why we are committed to American Cancer Society?
American Cancer Society is dedicated to meeting the needs of Kentuckians all over our state.  ACS’s funds go to support areas such as cancer research, patient support, prevention and education, detection and treatment and so much more.  Since it’s opening in March 2007, the ACS’s Hope Lodge in Lexington has provided more than 56,000 free nights of stay to cancer patients and their families. In 2013, 3,3334 wigs were provided free of charge and 40,608 trips were taken to transport cancer patients to and from treatment provided by American Cancer Society Road to Recovery volunteers and other transportation programs.  These are just a few of the reasons Hometown Bank is committed to American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, but the biggest reason we are committed is you.  It’s time to put a stop to cancer!

Course Description
Begin on the East end of The Arena, take a left and go around the Arena counterclockwise, proceed around the east end parking lot and down the hill. Follow the road to the Corbin Technology center and turn right at the east end of the building.  Wrap around the east end parking lot and proceed towards the theatre.  Wrap around the Cineplex and around the newly added on parking lot and proceed to the top of the hill.  At the top of the hill turn right and go around the Arena again and to the end of the East end parking lot turning left towards your starting point and your race will end on the inside of the east end of the Arena.  This is a challenging 5K run/walk/climb. 

Directions from North and South
Take exit 25 off of 1-75 to Corbin, KY
South Bound exit turn left off of exit / North Bound exit turn right off of exit
Proceed to traffic light and turn right.

Awards
1st Place overall winners (male and female),  1st place, Masters (40+) and Grandmasters (50+) (male and female).  Other awards three deep in the following male and female division:  12-under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-35, 36-39, 40-45, 46-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
Event Information
All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life
At the end of the race, we will be having a ceremony in honor/memory of those who have been touched by cancer
