Youth Duathlon, Sprint Triathlon, Olympic Triathlon, Olympic Relay Triathlon, 5K Run/Walk
Megunticook Tinman Triathlon builds on the history of the original Tinman and Maine Sport Triathlon, one of the longest-standing races in the U.S. 2022 marks the 42nd year of the Triathlon. It is organized by a group of dedicated and passionate local volunteers and supported through local business sponsorship. All profits this year are going to One Community Many Voices & the Midcoast Rec Center's Theodore Hedstrom Scholarship. This race is a family friendly event. We are aiming to put on a great race with chip timing, but will be keeping costs low in order to maximize funds going to our local community. So that means volunteer race directors and limited race swag.

TOP RACE TIPS FROM THE RACE DIRECTORS1. PLEASE REVIEW THE COURSE BEFORE THE RACE!!!!! DRIVE THE COURSE!!!!! It’s your responsibility to know the course. We will have people at SOME intersections – but you should still review the course before the race. All intersections are marked with at least one sign. We HIGHLY recommend you drive the course ahead of time.2. Wetsuits are NOT REQUIRED. The water is above 70 degrees. Some athletes will choose to wear wetsuits – that is fine. But you don’t have to.
3. Arrive early – parking is tricky – see more on parking below.
4. Ask a friend or family member to volunteer on race day – ask them to email info@onecommunitymanyvoices.org. Hug a volunteer and the race directors! This is a 100% volunteer led race.
5. Have fun and BE PROUD! You’re racing in one of the longest standing triathlons in the world!!!!!! Congrats!!!
