All levels welcome. This is a family friendly event followed by ice cream from Ben and Jerry's! We are very lucky to be partnered with Camp Harkness who provides annual use of their beautiful facility for all participants to enjoy this event. Children/teens can discover what it is like to have fun competing in a triathlon event. Event will be timed with 5 splits. Awards are based on finish time. Every child receives a medal at the finish line and trophies will be given to the top three finishers (male and female) in each age division. This event will mark the third event in our Triple Crown series. Every child who participated in both events will receive a special award at the awards ceremony immediately following the race at the pavilion. NOTE* All participants 11 years and over will be swimming in water over their head. All children 7-10 years old will be able to touch "most of the time". Lifeguards (many) will be spread along the route to assist as needed.
- Ages 5-6 yrs old 50 yard swim 1 mile bike .5 mile run
- Ages 7-8 yrs old 100 yard swim 2 mile bike .75 mile run
- Ages 9-10 yrs old 100 yard swim 2 mile bike .75 mile run
- Ages 11-12 yrs old 200 yard swim 4 mile bike 1 mile run
- Ages 13-14 yrs old 200 yard swim 4 mile bike 1 mile run
- Ages 15-17 yrs old 200 yard swim 4 mile bike 1 mile run
PARA Division- Athletes with special abilities encouraged to participate. Call us with your needs and we will assist with accommodations on the course! Need a guide, 1:1 assistance, wheelchair assistance, information on the course? Call Sharon at 860-447-5230.
Lifejackets can be worn in the water. Training wheels can be used. This event is for all ability levels. We will have first time triathletes as well as athletes that have raced in over 50+ races. FINAL online deadline to register is September 9 at noon. No race day registration.
NOTE: To receive a Triple Crown trophy the participant MUST have completed "two" races. Proud to DU It- May 1; and triathlon.
Race clinic will be held Wednesday, September 7, 5:30-7:00 PM. FREE- no pre-registration required.
Packet pickup will be offered onsite race morning 6:45-7:30 AM.
