    As many as 1 million Americans live with Parkinson’s disease– that’s more than multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and Lou Gehrig’s disease combined. Approximately 90,000 Americans are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease each year, but there are thousands more whose disease goes undetected and yet Parkinson's is not a well-known, well supported disease in comparison.

    2024 Event

    On April 13, 2024, the 11th Annual First Coast Parkinson’s 5K walk/run, 1 mile fun run, and a 5K Virtual Run is being held to raise money to provide increased resources and services to people with Parkinson's and their care partners in the First Coast Region of Florida.

    Race registration @ 7:30 AM

    1 MILE @ 8:30 AM

    5K @ 9:00 AM

    Awards Ceremony @ 10:30 AM

    Race Festival @ 8:00AM - 12:00Noon

    Awards:

    Awards will be presented to the top three men and women overall, first master’s male and female overall, and the top three in each of the following male and female age groups: 10 & under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80+. 

    Registration

    On-line Registration closes April 10, 2024

    In-store registration closes April 11, 2024.

    Individuals may register at the event.

    Packet Pickup

    Packets will be available for pick up on Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM at your selected 1st Place Sports locations and at Achieve Fitness Fleming Island location on Friday, April 12 from 5pm-7pm. Achieve Fitness is located at 2349 Village Square Parkway, Fleming Island, FL, 32003. Packets will be moved to the starting line for pickup beginning at 7:30 AM on Raceday.

    Race Timing

    The race will be timed using the bib chip. Your entry fee covers the cost of the bib chip.

    Post Race Celebration

    The Post Race Celebration will include a Kid Zone with egg hunt, PD Movement Tent, Health Fair, Food, Health and Wellness Vendors, and live entertainment!
