Be inspired at the 10th Annual RUN 4 THE HILLS FOR FIRST RESPONDERS - a challenging 4 mile run/walk through the historic Village of Sharon Springs, NY and the surrounding countryside to benefit Hero Fund America, Inc., our Duty Gear Challenge winners, and the Sharon Springs Rescue Squad. Hero Fund America supports education, training & the life saving equipment needs for all first responders.
Runners & Walkers in the event will receive the official event T-shirt, goody bag & commemorative medal. Once you cross the finish line, join the Post Race Party presented by Hero Fund America. You can look forward to food, beverages (beer to those of age!), music & an amazing awards ceremony.
Are you up for a CHALLENGE? Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement departments are invited to form teams and compete in the annual Duty Gear Team Challenge! Duty Gear Challenge Teams require a 3-person minimum, with all individuals competing in full turnout/duty gear, in-person on race day. One team in each division of the 3 public safety divisions (Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement) will be awarded $1,000 for best overall team time along with challenge coins to each division team members.
In-Person Division Awards -- Fire, EMS and Law Enforcement departments: Medals & Challenge Coins (1st, 2nd, & 3rd place) will be awarded for individual First Responders in each public safety division. We will once again be offering three (3) $100 gift certificates — awarded to the first male and female finishers, along with a random drawing for the third. (awards will also be given to the School Team with best overall team time (event trophy) and Community Team with the largest participating number of team registrants (event trophy).
Fundraising Awards -- Awards will be given to the top in-person & top fundraising team!
