This event promotes outdoor recreation for people of all levels of physical abilities. Wheelchair and hand crank bike racers are welcome. Net proceeds will benefit ECU Health Rehabilitation Services, where we are committed to helping adults and children reclaim their lives.
This year's race will feature chip timing, finish line music, refreshments, and a free 100-yard kids' dash!
COURSES
The 5K course is USATF certified. Both 5K and 1 mile races start on 6th Street in front of St. James United Methodist Church. The course is flat and winds through the East Carolina University area. See course map below. Chip timing provided by Run the East, LLC.ENTRY FEES
5K • Early bird fee is $25 by September 1; $30 after and on race day. 5K registrants will receive a Tech shirt.
Group discount of $5 per person for teams of 5 or more. School age and college student registration fee is $15 with student ID.1 mile • $10 (Does not include tech shirt)
100 Yard Kids Dash • Free (Youth 10 years old and younger); starts at 8:45 am
Entry fees are waived for wheelchair, hand-crank, or participants using mobility assistive devices, as well as Ainsley's Angels team members.
AWARDS (AWARD CEREMONY BEGINS AT 10 AM)
All finishers receive their time and placing.
5K • Top three male and female overall, top three male and female in each 5K age group, and wheelchair and hand crank bike top finishers receive medals.
1 Mile • 1st place male, female, wheelchair racer, and hand crank bike racer

Print out your digital bib (from your RunSignup profile page) if you'd like.
Download the RaceJoy app for the best race experience.
Run your race at a place of your choosing (including a treadmill) before the deadline. If you use RaceJoy, it will automatically submit your results. If not, go to the results page and submit your time.

What is a virtual run?A virtual race is an event where you sign up and participate on a course of your choosing (or a treadmill). This is a great opportunity to work towards your running goals, stay healthy, and support a great cause!
The event will feature a leaderboard so you can still see how you stack up against your fellow competitors!

You can run (or walk) anytime on October 7, 2023
Will this race be timed?
The virtual run will not be officially timed, but by using the RaceJoy app, you can receive a GPS-based time which will automatically submit your time for you. There will be an online leaderboard showing everyone's times.
How do I post my results?
The easiest way is to use RaceJoy during the race! If you choose not to use RaceJoy, then you can visit the results page and click the "Submit Virtual Results" link at the top of the page.
When/how will I get my swag?
Swag will be shipped out directly to your address.
