    -------------------------------------

    Color

    -------------------------------------

As a fun part of this event, participants can experience being splashed with color. If you do not want to be "splashed," then you can avoid (most of) it by staying to one side of the course. Our first event was not quite like the full The Color RunTM experience, but it was a fantastic time. We are planning on having color fun as part of the Run and Walk! The amount and degree to which we can have fun with color as part of the 5K Run/Walk depends on sponsors and the success of the event. The color dust is non-toxic, biodegradable, and not harmful to wildlife or vegetation. That said, this event will use a minimal amount of color to maintain a low environmental impact. After the event is over, leaf blowers will be used to help disperse any excess color dust off of walkways to help prevent it from being tracked into buildings/around the park. A nice rain will wash everything away.
