The Shack Neighborhood House is hosting a 5k run/walk to benefit the Shack building and its many programs. This 5k is designed to bring our little community together in a fun and healthy way! Please consider joining us on March 25th at Edith Barill Park in Star City for a morning of music, face painting, and friendship!

The race itself will take place on the Rail Trail beside the park at 9am and head north on the trail towards PA. There will be a turnaround point and water station at the 1.5mi mark, and the second half of the race will be going back in the direction of the start line. 

Registration for a bib PLUS a t-shirt will be $20 and run from 1/12/23 at 10am until 3/10/23 at 11:59pm.

Registration for just a bib will be $20 and run from 3/11/23 at 12am until 3/23/23 at 11:59pm.

Bib & t-shirt pick-up will occur on race-day!!

ADDITIONAL PARKING: We will be offering shuttle services from THE SHACK NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE (537 Blue Horizon Dr., Pursglove, WV 26546) picking up at 8:30am and 8:45am.

If you're not opting for the shuttle service, it's recommended that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of racing in order to secure a parking spot as it is first-come-first-served.

Participants from the following age groups will be awarded prizes!:

• 13 and under (Top Boy and Top Girl)
• 14 to 18 (Top Boy and Top Girl)
• 19 to 30 (Top Man and Top Woman)
• 31 to 54 (Top Man and Top Woman)
• 55+ (Top Man and Top Woman)
