HALF MARATHON & 5K IS SOLD OUT!!! REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!

Come join us for the 2nd annual Run the River Marathon and Relay, starting at Columbia Park in Kennewick, WA.   This road race features a scenic course that travels through the towns of Kennewick, Richland, and Pasco all while staying next to the mighty Columbia River.  

This classic road marathon follows paved paths and roadways the entire time and offers participants with great views of 3 beautifully landscaped parks, the meandering Columbia River, as well as the rugged surrounding mountains.  The flat course and cool spring weather will provide runners with a prime opportunity for a fast finish time if that is their goal.  Likewise, the course lends itself well to runners of all abilities as well as walkers... which tend to have the best time out there!  

The race will be chip timed, is sanctioned by the USATF, and we are happy to report that the Marathon Course has been certified (USATF Code WA24009RMB) and is therefore eligible to be used as a Boston Qualifier!

For those that aren't wanting the full marathon distance - gather up some friends and the 4 person relay option, which follows the same course.  Segment distances will vary between 4 and 9 miles so you can build an optimal team.  Note that if 2 or 3 people want to do the relay instead of 4, they need to signup multiple times so all four legs are paid for.  

New for this year will be a half marathon and a 5k that also run along the river.  These will start after the marathon and relay and will be out and back routes with the turnaround located at the halfway point.  

As with most other races, registration fees are non-refundable so if you signed up by mistake, something better came along, or you got the sniffles, please don't ask for a refund, transfer, or deferral - just consider it a donation.  Sorry, but we need to be firm on this one.  

Folks needing more than 6 hours can start an hour early at 7:00 am, but will not be eligible for awards and may not have aid station support until they are passed by the lead runners.  If you need more than 7 hours, please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements.

PACKET PICKUP: Preregistered runners can pickup their numbers and goodies on Friday April 19th from 12pm - 6pm at Runners Soul in Kennewick (5020 W Clearwater Ave).  In-person registration will also be available at this time - please plan to pay with cash, check, or Venmo.  Race numbers can also be picked up race morning starting at 6:30am at the start/finish area.  In-person registration will be available up until 30 minutes before the race start time.
