The Milwaukee running community has banded together to host a free race on the day the of Lakefront Marathon. All are welcome on October 2nd at South Shore Park to run a "timed" 5k, 10k, Half or Full Marathon. Volunteers from OMG, Badgerland Striders, and November Project will host aid stations, mark and measure the course, run as pacers, post mile markers, offer a starting line timer clock, and print bibs with a number! (no chip time though). We'll also throw an after party.

NLFM packet and bib pickup will be offered at Performance Running in Shorewood, 4533 N Oakland Ave, on Friday and Saturday and also on race day. (FYI, the finishers medal and race shirt offered by the Badgerland Striders for the Lakefront Marathon will not be able available at the Shorewood location. To receive these items look for the email from BLS with instructions.)

    • Marathon starts at 7:00am
    • Half Marathon starts at 8:00am
    • 10k starts at 8:30am
    • 5k at 8:35am.

Finish line festivities kick off at 9:00am. All distances are 'out and back' routes. The marathon route repeats the half marathon course twice. Race results will be posted to a public website. However, this is NOT an official course and is not a Boston qualifier. Sorry.  With a little luck and a reduction in bureaucracy, the official Lakefront Marathon hosted by Badgerland Striders will be back next year
