    Join us for a fun, fast, and family friendly 5k and 1 mile at the LCMP Fun Run. 100% of the proceeds support Lorain County Medical Scholarship Fund. This race is open to everyone!

    The Cookie Run 5K is a fund-raising event held by the Lorain County Medical Society. All proceeds go to the Lorain County Medical Scholarship Fund. Every year we award these scholarships to local students who are pursuing careers in the medical field. Last year we gave out over $20,000 to Lorain County residents who were enrolled in pre-med, nursing, and other allied healthcare programs all across the state. We see this as an opportunity to not only support these students, but also as an investment in our future, as many of these scholars will one day return to practice their medicine back home in Lorain County.     Scholarship submissions for award year 2023 are open until midnight June 30, 2023. Students can apply HERE. Submissions received after this date will be eligible for the following year.

    This is our second year hosting the Cookie Run 5K, and we are so excited to be doing it again. This event is a timed 5K, a fun run/walk, and there will also be a free kids run before the race starts. This park is also dog-friendly, so bring the entire family!

    After the race, participants will receive a yummy cookie [donated by local baker Sugar Riot], and a Lorain County Medical Society branded mug. We will also provide post-race snacks and water, of course!

    There will be awards for top male and female times, and a trophy for the best COOKIE-THEMED outfit! 

    We highly encourage group registrations as this event is a great way for friends or colleagues to team build, bond, and support an awesome, local cause. 

    Participants can still sign up and register the morning of the event. *Cookies and mugs will be provided to day-off registrants while supplies last*.
