    Date & Starting Time:  Friday evening, May 24, 2024; Race starts at 6:45pm.

    Wheelchairs will start at 6:40 p.m.

     

    Course Description:  Race starts and finishes across Sci-Port Discovery Center, 820 Clyde Fant Parkway, Shreveport

     

    Registration Fees:

    through May 10th - $25.00

    May 11th - May 23rd - $30.00

    Race Day - $40.00

     

    ***If you do not want a race shirt you can save $5.00 on your registration by choosing the " I have too many race shirts" option and it will take $5.00 off your entry at checkout.

     

    Packet Pick-up:  You can pick up your packet at Sportspectrum 6970 Fern Ave., Shreveport, LA 71105

    Wednesday, May 22nd from 10:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m.

    Thursday, May 23rd 10:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m.

    Friday, May 24th 10:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.

    and at the race site (across from Sci-Port) from 5:15 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

     

    If you do not pick up your packet or have someone else pick up your packet by race time, we will give your race shirt to one of our volunteers.  No Refunds, No Packets Mailed.

     

    Race Packet:  Every pre-registered participant will receive an official 40th Anniversary 2024

    Mudbug Madness race T-shirt.  Shirts will be limited, so please register early.

    You must register by midnight May 14th to guarantee your shirt size.

     

    Your timing chip will be on the back of your bib...so do not lose or forget your bib number. $5.00 replacement fee for lost or forgotten bib numbers.

     

    Post Party:  Join us after the race at the Mudbug festival site to enjoy exciting live entertainment, food, drinks and free entry into the festival with official race bib number. 

     

    Awards Ceremony: The awards ceremony will take place at the race site hopefully around 7:45 p.m. so please stick around if you think you won an award.

     

    Awards:  Overall winner & runner up male & female will receive a $150 & $100 Sportspectrum Gift Cards (respectively)

    **1st Place awards will be given to both male and female in each age group. 2nd Place awards will be determined by the number of participants in that age group. (there needs to be at least 3 in each age group to give 1st & 2nd place awards)

     

    Age Groups: 5K Male & Female: 19-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70+.   
    5K Kids Male & Female: 8 & under, 9-11,12-15,16-18

     

    1st Overall Male & Female in the wheelchair division

     

    Beat the course record and bring home $100!!

    Female course record - 17:47 set by Stefanie Slekis in 2018

     

    Special Note: No bikes, skate devices, or dogs on the course. Baby joggers can be used but must start in the back.
