Details from event's RunSignUp.com listing:
Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery, a proud member of the Dignity Memorial® network, invites the community to participate in a 5K walk/run during Domestic Violence Abuse Awareness Month, honoring Savannah Kinchen. Savannah, an associate at Forest Park East, was a victim of domestic abuse and was murdered by her husband, Trent Paschal, in October 2020. Paschal was charged with Savannah’s murder but skipped bond in April 2021. He was found in December of 2021 and took his life as police closed in.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Bay Area Turning Point, a crisis intervention center and shelter serving survivors of family violence and sexual assault in the Greater Bay Area, as well as the Savannah Scholarship at Disciple Oak Camp and Retreat.
For the love of all that is good and moisture wicking...
