Brett's Story
On December 21, 2019 our lives were shattered when we discovered that our youngest son, Brett, had died in his sleep due to a "rare" complication of epilepsy. Sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) claims more victims than SIDS annually yet it is never spoken of in our medical community. Most families who suffer this loss report that they "were never told about SUDEP." It is our hope that through education and prevention we can save a life.
Find us on Facebook at Brett's Bands and join us on September 30th as we run/walk to remember Brett and all the other victims of SUDEP and make a difference for others who suffer from epilepsy!
Thank you so much for the time you are giving us and joining us in this mission.
For the love of all that is good and moisture wicking...
ALWAYS visit the race's website for the most complete and accurate race information.
