Row'd Runner 5K & Duathlon

Packet pick up will be at the trailhead beginning at 7:15AM on race day.

Come enjoy one last run before summer on the beautiful Hawthorne Trail. Stay for the challenge of a 2K erg after.

Serious and recreational runners, multi-sport athletes, and kids/families, come challenge yourselves at the seventh running of the Gainesville Area Rowing Row'd Runner 5k and Duathlon.  Participants will run a 5k beginning at 8:00 am on Saturday May 20 followed by a 2k row on an erg (rowing machine).  Participants may compete in the 5k/2k duathlon, the 5k run only, or the 2k erg only. 

All proceeds will benefit Gainesville Area Rowing, a non-profit corporation promoting rowing as a sport for high school students, middle school students, and adults in Gainesville and Alachua County and surrounding areas.  

Never been on a rowing machine?  Now is your chance to try. Experienced rowers will be available before, after, and during the event to offer advice on your technique.  Come join us and row and run to help support Gainesville Area Rowing.

Registration includes a T- shirt. Age group awards for both Men and Women! Medals for top 3 in each age group plus additional prizes for top 3 overall in the duathlon!

In person registration is available the morning of the race for $35.

This is mandatory for current youth rowers and therefore free (no shirt, though).  Please register here.  Shirts will be available for $10.
