A FOOD DRIVE will be held at registration. Please consider bringing non-perishable food items to donate.
The race will take place at the Ekonk Hill Turkey Farm, 241 Ekonk Hill Rd, Sterling, CT. There is plenty of parking on site.

$25 until 11/17 2023, $30 on Race Day. $10 age 12 and under Please bring a non-perishable food donation.

Project Pin
This race is being held to benefit Project Pin, the Sterling/Plainfield Food Pantry. According to Tim Kettle, Executive Director of Pin,
The food lines are getting longer and more people are going hungry and need emergency food assistance, many for the first time…We at Project Pin hope that we are making a difference, so underprivileged children stop worrying at school whether or not there will be food on the table for dinner that night, and to ensure that our seniors won’t have to make the terrible choice between paying for medication or buying groceries.
The food items in the greatest demand are kid friendly items, such as mac and cheese, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, and tuna fish. And, of course, given the time of year, turkeys and/or Thanksgiving-related items. Also, every dollar donated to Project Pin can be redeemed for $5 worth of food from the Connecticut Food Bank.
169 Society
This event was organized at the request of the 169 Society, whose members aspire to run a timed road race in each of Connecticut’s 169 towns. For more information on the 169ers go to their website at www.debticonn.org (which stands for Do Every Blessed Town In Connecticut).
Come on out to Sterling to run for a good cause and burn some pre-Thanksgiving calories.
