Description

Duathlon: The gateway to Mount Rainier National Park serves as the host for this popular season opening event. This event begins at the Enumclaw Expo Center. The long course goes 5.1 miles using the local roads. Once on your bike, you will ride on rural roads through farm lands (watch for Mount Rainier) riding up Mud Mountain Dam Hill and come to a screaming descent down Highway 410 taking a hard left to the fairgrounds and you get to do this 14.4 mile loop one more time for a total of 28.8 miles. The final run is again on local roads, actually taking you to the base of Mount Peak completing 3.8 miles.

Short course goes 1.6 miles using the local roads. Once on your bike, you will ride on rural roads through farm lands (watch for Mount Rainier) riding up Mud Mountain Dam Hill and come to a screaming decent down Highway 410 taking a hard left to the fairground, which is a 14.4 mile loop. The final run is again on local roads, actually taking you to the base of Mount Peak, completing 3.8 miles.

NEW in 2024! A flat bike course option. Follow the short course runs (1.6 mile first run; 3.8 mile second run); Bike follows the other course until you reach 284th Ave SE. The flat course will take a left while the short and long course takes a right. Enjoy the beautiful farm country without going up the MOUNTAIN!

This is a USAT Sanctioned event. All USAT rules will be enforced.
