Date of the Event- Thursday, Thanksgiving Morning!! 8am!
Packet Pickup & T-Shirt sales will be
Wed from 2pm-6pm at Tom Taylor YMCA
and Thursday morning, day of event, 7am at Judson St (Starting line)
Thursday, Day of event registration price doubles to $40.
This will be a timed event.

"In 2002, Dr. Holmes' oldest son challenged him to run a marathon with him. Dr. Holmes, who own[ed] Holmes Chiropractic, had never participated in an organized run but accepted the challenge and started looking for training opportunities.
"I couldn't find any local organized runs so I invited some of my friends, family and patients to join me on Thanksgiving morning for a 5k run. I also asked them to bring two cans of food we could donate to the local Food Bank. I thought it would also be a good way to work up an appetite for our awaited Thanksgiving meal."
That first year 15 people participated. Dr. Holmes thought it would be great to do it again the next year. An unexpected 200 people participated. And the Gig Harbor Turkey Trot was born.
In 2019 over 3,000 people registered and participated in Gig Harbor's largest community run.
The Gig Harbor Turkey Trot has continued to be an annual Gig Harbor and family tradition. We continue to collect two cans of food per participant which is still donated to F.I.S.H. and now also to BackPack for Kids. And the funds raised go towards college scholarships for local graduating high school seniors."

Starting line, Parking Lot Judson St. 7am-8am.
Race starts at 8am!!
Preregistration cost:
12 and under free.
Online Preregistration $20.
Day of event registration is $40.
Food Donations
Please bring two cans of food to the starting line parking lot the day of the event for local benefits.
Look for the donations vans.
Proceeds
Proceeds go to FISH food bank, a local organization called Food Backpacks 4 Kids, the Bischoff food bank, and local high schools' college scholarships.
