    Please join us for the Gold Star Mission Run for the Fallen Half Marathon Run / Walk / Ruck, 5k Run/Walk, and 3k Run/Walk [In person and virtually].  Gold Star Mission honors Gold Star Families and our Fallen Heroes. The Run for the Fallen is presented by Gold Star Mission and sponsored by Cherry Valley Fire Department, Rockford Road Runners, Runners Image of Rockford, and Rockford Wildcats. The 5k and 3k will have special "Kid Friendly" pricing ($10.00) for ages 17 and under (All runners must register on RunSignUp). This event is an opportunity to experience the scenic beauty of Winnebago County's forest preserves while supporting the efforts of the Gold Star Mission.  Funds raised by this event go towards $1,000 scholarships in the name of fallen military service members from Illinois.  This event is also a Rockford Road Runner Circuit Race. 

    Race Date: Saturday, April 29, 2023

    Race Location:  4919 Blackhawk Rd, Rockford, IL 61109.   (Carlson Hall *to the left of Cherry Valley Fire Department)

    Post Race:  A boxed breakfast will be provided to ALL REGISTERED (in-person) race participants and volunteers for the day of the event following each race. 

    Shirt and medal are guaranteed to all preregistered by 04/10/23.   Shirts are NOT guaranteed after this date.  A rolling inventory will be available, but sizes and shirts are not guaranteed for participants or volunteers registered after 04/10/23.
