The 5K & Family Fun Day

Participants are invited to gather at Crump Park on Saturday, May 18th from 8-11 AM for fun and festivities as we celebrate our incredible community.  In addition to our beloved 5K Run/Walk, the event will also feature family friendly activities, entertainment from our main stage, and a resource fair highlighting the work of our community partners.

The Autism Society of Central Virginia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is proud to be one of the region’s premier sources of education, advocacy, and support for individuals with autism, their families, and professionals. Autism is a developmental disability that occurs in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. The prevalence rate of autism continues to rise, and currently the CDC estimates that an average of 1 in 44 children in the US meets the diagnostic criteria for autism. The ASCV serves as the local voice and resource for the Central Virginia autism community. Funds raised from the ASCV 5K & Family Fun Day will provide much needed support, resources, and programs for local individuals with autism and their families. The funds raised here, stay here!
