Details from event's RunSignUp.com listing:
Note from Race Director Matt McGowan on Monday, October 16:
This year our event has a registration cap of 175 participants. With the change to the 5K mostly on the bike path, the City has required the limit to ensure the safety of all participants. Also, there will be no race day registration. As of 9:36 AM on Tuesday, October 17, the in-person race is SOLD OUT! There will be no additional spots opened, there is no waitlist, and there is no race day registration. Our virtual event registration will remain open through Saturday morning.
The 36th Annual Circleville Classic 5K Run/Walk has an In-Person Race and a number of Virtual Events!
In-Person Race start time: 9:00 AM
In-Person Race day check-in begins: 7:30 AM (there is no race day registration)
The traditional 5 Mile Run will be a 5K Run/Walk this year due to increase safety concerns with Pumpkin Show traffic. The course will be around the Circleville High School and on the Roundtown Trail. After the race plan on enjoying the afternoon with your family and friends downtown at the 117th Circleville Pumpkin Show, “The Greatest Free Show On Earth”.
Pricing for the in-person 5K is $12.00 before October 8th, $15 until October 19th, $7 for additional family members, $10 for runners 14 & under and 60 & over. There is no race-day registration this year. T-shirts will still be available for sale for $10 on race day for those in the in-person race.
All virtual events are $10. If you want the race t-shirt mailed to you after the event, $10 will be added to your total.
Proceeds benefit the Jeff & Jean McGowan Memorial Scholarship Fund
Jeff passed away on May 26, 2012, and Jean passed away on March 15, 2018.
