CITY OF LAKES TRIATHLON BACK FOR 2024 IN BEAUTIFUL SANTA ROSA, NM!

Race Details:

SWIM:   750 m Sprint   –  1500 m Olympic (2 laps)

BIKE: 20k (12.5 mi) Sprint – 40k Olympic (2 laps)

RUN:  5k (3.1 mi) Sprint – 10k (6.2 mi) Olympic

SPRINT AND OLYMPIC COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:

Swim: 750 meter loop, swim one or two times – in Twin Lake – diamond shape course, counter clockwise swim.  Swim Map Here 

Bike: 20 K (12.5 miles) out and back course – one time for sprint race, two laps for Olympic race, on incredibly scenic and slightly hilly terrain. Course is on newly paved roads that generally have very light traffic. There will be volunteer support along the route, but there are no major intersections. There will be one aid station on the bike course at the turn around point and there will be a sag wagon on the course.

5 K (3.1 miles) – Both on and off road,  There will be two aid stations for the 5k . 

The Olympic course (10K) will do an extra loop and a half. 

This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event, and all USAT rules and regulations apply. For a complete list of the rules go to www.usatriathlon.org You must be a USAT Member OR pay the $15 (per person) one-day membership fee to participate in this race. ($10.00 for Juniors 17 and under, and it is good for a whole year).

Packet Pick-up at Sport Systems, in Albuquerque, August 7, 2023 3-6pm.  There will also be packet pickup in Santa Rosa Friday, August 9, 2024, 3-6 pm at the Blue Hole Convention Center. 

**PLEASE NOTE: You can pick up participant packets for other participants or team members. You will be REQUIRED to present identification. If you pick up for another athlete YOU MUST have a copy of their ID. Please bring these with you at the time of pickup! There are NO EXCEPTIONS! 

Race Day Schedule:

Transition Area open from 5:30-7am

Mandatory Athlete Meeting at 7am

Olympic Start Appx 7:15 am immediately following the athlete meeting.

Sprint Start following Olympic

Sprint Award Ceremony: 9:45 AM

Olympic Award Ceremony 10:45 am

 Saturday Warriors REFUND POLICY: 

REFUNDS are not given for a Saturday Warriors event.  If you register and do not attend the event for any reason, your race fee is forfeited.  This includes illness, injury, inclement weather or any Act of God. 

Race TRANSFERS from one athlete to another are only allowed if the race is sold out, and must be approved by the race director at least one week in advance of the race date.   All required new athlete information must be received by the Race Director at least one week in advance.

If the race is CANCELLED by the Promoter for any reason, those who were registered will get a free transfer to the next year’s race.
