Critter Crawl 5k and Yeti Dash February 17th, 2024 Update:

ANC Critter Crawl and Yeti Dash

The Alabama Nature Center (ANC) will host the Critter Crawl 5K and Yeti Dash February 17th, 2024! This 5K trail run is like no other! The Critter Crawl is a TRAIL RUN benefiting the ANC education programs that takes runners through a portion of the ANC's 5 mile trail system.

You will not want to miss out on the ANC Yeti Dash! The Yeti Dash is a 1 mile trail system run. Nature/critter costumes are mandatory for any guests who wish to participate in the Yeti Dash. Any guests who do not dress in costume will not be eligible to win a Yeti Dash medal. One medal will be awarded to the first place finisher in each age group category. This is an all-out race to beat the Yeti, can you survive?

Shirts are guaranteed for participants registering before January 31, 2024. Extras will be ordered but run out fast.

Day of registration fees are as follows:
Critter Crawl 5k Day of fee: $30
ANC Yeti Dash Day of fee: $25

In addition to the races, there will be music, food, and vendors! Be sure to hang around after the race for a door prize give away and trophy ceremony! We will have music and food for everyone, and lots of room for kids to play. Make sure to wear warm athletic clothes since it will likely be cold. Parking will be in the pavilion meadow. While you are here be on the lookout for the elusive Yeti, you might even be able to snag a picture with him!

5K starts at 8:30 am and the Yeti Dash starts at 9:30 am. Both races start and finish at the ANC NaturePlex.

Schedule:
Saturday February 17th
7:30am Registration Station open for packet pickup
8:30am Critter Crawl 5k Race Start
9:30am Yeti Dash Start
10:30am (tentative)  Trophy Ceremony

The trophy ceremony will start once the last runner has crossed the finish line and results are in.

Participants may pick up their race packets Friday February 16th 1pm-5pm. The course will be open that afternoon for individuals who want to see the course prior to the race.

Although we cherish our furry friends, the Alabama Nature Center has a NO pet policy at this time. We ask that you leave your pets at home for this race. This excludes service aid dogs.

The AWF was established by sportsmen in 1935 to promote the conservation and wise use of our wildlife and natural resources and to ensure a high quality of life for future generations of Alabamians.
