    After holding the Dragon Dash virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are pleased to announce that we are bringing the 11th Annual Dragon Dash back to the beautiful campus of Glenelg Country School while also offering the option to participate in the run virtually.

    This year, runners will have the option to participate in one of three distances: the Little Dragon Trot, 5k, or 10k (Virtual Only). The one-mile Little Dragon Trot is perfect for families (strollers and leashed pets welcome), and we’ll have an inflatable obstacle course and bounce house for post-race fun. 

    Proceeds from the event will fund the two Always a Dragon awards—one a college scholarship for a graduating GCS senior, and the other a tuition scholarship for a rising GCS ninth grader.

    Race Course Description and Regulations
    The cross-country course traverses the school's 90-acre campus, taking participants from the six-lane competition track through open fields and wooded paths and back to the track for the finish.  Please note: the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers, and pets are not allowed on the course.

     

    Amenities and Awards
    The day will feature music and activities for the entire family!  All entrants receive a Dragon Dash t-shirt (t-shirt sizes and availability are not guaranteed).  Prizes awarded to top finishers and all kids receive recognition for participation.  Water and post-race snacks provided, and all participants are entered for a chance to win one of many prizes.
