The Omaha Triathlon is celebrating its 15th year by returning to Lake Cunningham otherwise known as the "C"!  Race options include Olympic and Sprint Distance Individual, Olympic Team Relay, Individual Aquabike, and Duathlon. The Omaha Triathlon is the USA Triathlon Nebraska Age Group and State High School Championships for 2024. 

Qualifying for the 2024 USA Triathlon Age Group Nationals:  State championships will qualify the top 35% or top five (5) finishers in an age group (whichever is greater). You may only qualify for Olympic-distance Nationals by placing in the Olympic distance State Championship race or Sprint Nationals by placing in the sprint distance State Championship race.

High School State Championships Exemption: All high school athletes who finish any of the State High School Championships will automatically qualify for Sprint-distance (pending they are at least age 15 as of December 31, 2024.)

Any state championship that occurs after June 1, 2024, will qualify for BOTH 2024 AND 2025 USA Triathlon Nationals. The qualification criteria for 2024 Age Group Nationals is subject to change from what it is for 2024. Review the full 2024 qualification criteria for age group races at USA Triathlon Nationals.

Athletes do not have to be a resident of a state to win that state’s championship. Any age group athlete competing in an age group division is eligible to win any state championship.

Official Race Start Time is 7:00 AM on Sunday!

The Bike course is primarily on Highway 36 on a closed course. The Run Course in around the newly paved and scenic Lake Cunningham Recreation Area Lake. Full Course maps are posted at the event page for the Omaha Triathlon at www.raceomaha.com. 

• Post Race food featuring "The Pancake Man" with pancakes and sausage for all competitors included with your registration fee.   Additional guests may be purchased with your registration for guests (i.e. family and friends).
• A limited number of reserved RV and camping spots with full service connections near the race venue and swim start.  Reservation are only available through Race Omaha.  The Campground features new shower and bathrooms facilities just for reserved guests.  RV and camping spots are assigned by Race Omaha.  Please email alan@raceomaha.com to request a RV and/or campground reservation!
• Overall Top 3 Male and Female Awards for Individual Olympic and Sprint Triathlon.
• Awards for top 3 in each age group individuals for both Olympic and Sprint Triathlon.
• Awards for top 30% of relay teams.  If 20 teams registered, 6 Teams will receive awards.
• Top Female and Male in Aqaubike/SwimBike and Duathlon/Run-Bike-Run.
• USA Triathlon 2024 Nebraska State Championships for Age Groups and High School. 
• High Quality Technical Racing T-Shirt.
• Voluntary but recommended Bike Drop off Saturday
• Packet Pickups will be available according the schedule posted in the Athlete Guide.
